Opened by New Orleans and Sazerac-lover Peter Fischer, our team have been slinging cocktails since February 2017. Whether it be a Southern Classic, a New Orleans staple such as the Hurricane (hell that one’s going to blow you away), or one of our Cat’s signature cocktails, you’re sure to find concoctions for everyone’s taste in our small, hidden underground cocktail bar in the Sydney CBD.

Our food and snack menu features contemporary takes on New Orleans Louisiana dishes, plus when booking exclusive events you’ll have access to canapés prepared by the chef legends at our sister venue NOLA Smokehouse and Bar.

We can’t promise you’ll find us easily (just keep looking for the cat!) but we guarantee you’ll have a great time sipping on some of Sydney’s best cocktails.

With standing space for up to 100 or seating for up to 70 guests, The Swinging Cat is the perfect spot for any sized function or event. We accept individual bookings in the lounge and high table areas as well as at the bar, or try your luck on a walk-in basis.
